I'm suprised- I had to lubricate mine to get them on the car!

Mine are really tight! Is it an aftermarket fender? You could assume that it will settle in....

Other option would be to shim it with a sealer. You could grease the seal with silicone grease, then apply a some silicone to the fender. Actually, it would be better just to put the silicone between the seal and the turn signal.

If you do something alone these lines, I would try and put it almost on, let it set for 5-15 minutes, then push it the rest of the way. After it has cured, remove the lense and carefully trim any excess silicone from the car. I'd just use a single edged razor blade being careful not to cut into the paint.
