Its not bad at all from what I can see - the problem is that parts to fix it would be 3-5K even if you got them used. Add labor in and you can see why it was totaled.

If you could get one of these with a good engine I think it would be quite a sweet car.

Maybe the collision bent the rods back to factory specification
