You'll probably want to contact the dealership's fixed ops manager. He or she will more than likely be the one to make calls regarding hiring. Make sure you set up an appointment to go in. I personally will not interview some one I'm not expecting unless there is absolutely nothing going on (which isn't likely this time of year). Dress nice, be professional and be persistent. Most of our porters work on the service side of things, so you'll likely be getting cars from the lot for customers and washing/vacuuming them, providing shuttle service, etc. Good luck with the job search. Be careful though, once you get sucked into a dealership, it can be very difficult to leave.
