i just joined this elite "my car wont start " club. started fine this morining, wont start after work. so i left it there and hope its demons will be exorcised when i get back in the morning.

at first i thought i had fried the fuel pumps coz i couldnt hear them hissing. then i had a friend turn the key and i could hear it, but not as strongly as usual. tried to start it and it wouldnt. it would sputter, but not actually start. iknow im low on fuel but not that low, the light only went on yesterday, i should have at least two gallons of reserve when my light goes on

unlike most of you i dont have somewhere to work on it (apartment dweller, street parking!) , and right now i cant afford to get major stuff done. i was about to start seriously budgeting for a head rebuild after this month. so any tips on what to check for and how to check for it would be appreciated.
