My Alda is in it's stock location, next summer I'm thinking about an intercooler kit and I'll take it from their. So a 4300 SDL with 148hp VS a 3500 Accord with 160-170hp. If I had a 400E I would have walked all over him.
BTW, if the ACCORD has 160-170 hp, then it should leave YOU in the dust at higher speeds. Horsepower DETERMINES topspeed. Plus you're dealing with poor W126 US spec aerodynamics.

Feel better, now?

Your car would be in top gear at around 90 mph, while the Honda would still be closer to its horsepower peak in a lower gear.

Methinks your car is running pretty darn well as it is.

A specially tuned M119 would humiliate most anyone with a normally aspirated V8 of any make or model. The E50 AMG M119 210 produced the same ponies as the E55 M113 210. Although it has about 40lb/ft less torque.
