Spoke with him and again the apologies seem genuine.

Karl is a really nice guy who probably has a problem saying "no", and take more cars in than he can handle.

The good news is that the car is on the lift and is "the next problem car" he has to deal with.

According to him, he has been working on it sporadically, and has not been able to pinpoint the problem. He says that the pump and cpu are not in sync. I think he will remove the pump to verify it's proper placement.
