No, nothing was changed except the manifold and exhaust system . Ran the car for 17 years with no problems because the 240 engine is a tractor engine and begs for a boost. I could wip my wife's 300 d turbo. Garret has a kit now for a ford diesel. the turbo looks identical to the 240 turbo. They have a web site with good photos of the equipment.
