ktlmiq, I can understand that the local glass shop prefers that you obtain the new rubber seal. It's easier for them ... no wasted time like you're having trying to track down the correct part. A knowledgeable MB Parts tech should be able to navigate the computer system and identify the exact parts you need. Ask to see the part illustration before the MB dealer orders anything ... if for some reason it's the wrong part my local dealer will apologize, take the part back, refund your money, and make another attempt to acquire the correct part. If you're getting the runaround from one particular Parts tech get the Parts Mgr. involved. Most dealers aim to please their customers.
