The clutch on my a/c compressor won't egage at idle (it will stay engaged if I'm coming down to idle). A light tap with a screwdriver will kick it in as will a little accelleration, I'm assuming due to the engine vibration.

I'm really lost as far as troubleshooting. Any suggestions on what to test and what to expect? Everything works perfectly other than this one issue.

It's on an 82 240d.
