Rear Thrust Arms

This is a familiar topic with 300Es and worthy of a thoughtful search on this forum. I believe you might find some comments under a thread entitled "Floating 300E" from late last year. Under sudden acceleration or deceleration, the rear suspension geometry can change enough to make it feel as if the rear end is steering the car. Mercedes has changed the original thrust arms to heavier pieces.

The part referred to above is a very likely culprit. I also agree with the comment about rear subframe mounts (along with differential mounts).

Annoying problem, isn't it?
