Tom, you certainly didn't overstate the importance of balancing. "New" injectors can vary in opening pressure so much that to take a random sample and simply screw them in practically begs for a problem. The shop I used checked 10 jectors, found 5 best, cleaned the nozzles and checked pattern and atomization and tested to open between 1950 and 2000 psi, all for $40, which I thought was totally fair. Seeing as you were trying to work with these s**t "new" parts, I don't blame you a bit for not wanting to continue.
