My 1985 300D will bind, and the tanny will give a moan when starting off from a complete stop. It will usually do it when starting quickly, like pulling into traffic. I then back off of the gas, and it stops, then I can give it the gas again without any problem.

I did a search of the archives, and did not see anything similar. Could this be a band adjustment, worn spider gears, or a flex disc? Or could it be worse!

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appresiated. I have gotten some great info from this site, it's great!
