I'm not sure of the cause but blowing the fuse for the blower during high temps, or when the blower was set to high for extended periods was common with the 126's. The repeated blowing of the fuse eventually melts the plastic of the fuse box rendering the fuse useless. This was so common that the authorized MB repair was to instal a remote 30 amp strip fuse which is attached to the bottom side of the fuse panel and mounted to the fender liner. The part number I provided is for the MB repair part. Direction on installation have been covered before.
