I'd suggest you just carry a few of each of the fuel filters you normally use. I never really noticed a difference, but after 1000 miles or so on b100, I swapped out the clear pre-filter and the benz spin-on main fuel filter. I prefer the clear to the clouded pre-filter so I can keep my eye on the fuel...
next, watch your injector return lines, because if they are old they will probably be weepy before any other lines show any wear at all... if you want to be fancy you can replace the few lines with viton, but I just replace with stock stuff if/when it goes. right now, I've only just replaced the inj. return lines once, and fuel filters twice (again, completely preventatively... no problems detected)
I was fortunate to have a fairly clean tank I guess.

Good luck with it! you'll notice the difference right away, and the first few times you gun it from a red light and see no smoke behind you you might think you've blown your exhaust or something... but nope, it's just not spewwing as much black stuff!
