Problem Solved?!?

I have been slowly going through my c280 over the last year fixing all the little problems (known problems: wiring harness etc). I'd say every 10th crank or so it would not start. Also when it started (after pumping the pedal) the cruise usually did not work. Pulling over, and recranking would get the cruise to work again.

Cold weather or hot. Hot engine or cold. Replacing the OVP, wiring harness, coil plugs, tune up haven't made this problem go away. I figured it must be the throttle actuator, and I'd get to that eventually.

Well....I just took a 2400 mile round trip. About half way through I noticed that it never had a problem cranking up again, or having the cruise work. It's been 3 weeks now and not once has it failed to crank up, and not once has the cruise failed on me. Other than the long trip, the only thing I have changed is the gas I use. I have quit using Chevron.

So.....What 'fixed' this problem do you think? It had low mileage when I got it (average of less than 8k a year) and wonder if that may have contributed to the cranking problem. Could an injector simply have been clogged a little bit? But how would that affect the CC? I dunno.I'm curious now, because after that trip, everything works perfect on the car! That was the last thing I had to address.
