I decide when my car no longer runs or works properly anymore, and the repair costs are more or close to what the vehicle is worth. However, I am in that predicament right now and don't quite know what to do. My engine is leaks way too much oil on my 81 SD, it probably needs new oil rings, and that means a new engine. I paid $2000 for it and have sunk another $1000 into it in the past year and a half. I really like this car, but it does have some other small issues and I could probably get another one at around 1500-2000. So I think I need to do that, rather than fix this one, but ...I really like my car and am having a hard time letting it go.

Anyone else know hwat I mean?
