I love it! A 190E 2.6 5 speed thread.

I've never maxed it out. Most I've gone is about 100, I spend too much time painted by radar.

Everything is factory, including the gearing, and it was originally purchased in Manhattan, although there are some odd things with the car. It doesn't have an antenna switch or an economy gauge. And when I changed the clutch master the new one was a touch shorter, just enough to not actuate the cruise control disconnect switch. I put a spacer on it so the cruise control doesn't think I'm always on the clutch but it doesn't stay on. I need to find a better way of attaching it.

Regarding brakes, I think they last longer cause you're not always stopping against the slight but constant force of the torque converter. I stopped using engine braking when I realized the cost difference between the engine and the brakes, the brakes are a lot cheaper. Although I will use air conditioner braking when I can.
