I think the biggest problem with the AMG Hammers is the fact that parts are no longer available from AMG (or anywhere) to support them. Anything modified by AMG will need to be custom fabricated if failure should occur. Most MB mechanics would take extra time to figure out the changes and then actually repair them. This can be extremely costly and very frustrating if you don't know the right people. I also wouldn't consider this car a daily driver, from what I've heard it's very temperamental. Remember that AMG was not a part of Mercedes at this point in time, they were strictly an aftermarket tuner like Roush or Saleen is for the Mustang. 500E's are factory tuned/supported and they offer 90% of the speed/power of the Hammers and better agility from what I hear. However, if you have the means and the patience the Hammer is a very unique, beautiful and fun car.
