With regards to the Bergwerks NOS kit, Carl has spent extensive time building safety into the system. It's not just a standard system that turns on when you tell it to, it actually turns on only at full throttle and turns off once off the throttle. It's foolproof basically so you can't screw up the engine. It's a nice design, I've seen it installed on a few cars and none have problems with it.
