If you don't have CD or service manual, there is a very good pictorial article buried somewhere here in the archives. Do a search for 124 blower motor or something like that to find the thread.

It shows how to pull the wiper motor and the blower motor. It is not too tough, but will involve several hours of careful work. When you do it, raise the hood to the full upright position with a light fixture straight overhead.
