1) For $44? They're rebuilds. New are over $100 each.
2) No clue. Probably originally mfr'd in Germany, but rebuilt in India.
3) There are approximately a bazillion different shim thicknesses. (OK, about 30 I think.) They're not cheap, buying an assortment to do your own balancing is pricey.
4) Get a pop tester and start collecting used ones from Pick-n-Pull, and rebuild your own??
