My 104 head gasket cost $896 about six weeks ago at the local dealer. Since the car only had 64,000 miles and ran perfectly, I did not have anything else done. Took the car in one day, picked it up the next morning. I had minor oil leakage (a couple of drops on the floor each night) but the main problem was oil in the water. It completely eliminated the "milkshake" in the overflow tank. I no longer have any oil on the floor at all (but after two trips back to get it right!).
