Ah, the good ol ASR problem's back... Been here, done it.

The Snap-on scanner probably won't read the codes (it doesn't on my 93 either) if your 600 runs what's known as an analog system. This actauly means that all fault codes are transmitted as pulse codes (apart from the LH system). However the up side is that you can read these yourself with an LED. Your Snap scanner should read the LH unit with no problem - but that doesn't help you I know.

First read EVERY post here, including mine. Then report back with more info...when it happens, how the light illuminates, can you repeat the ASR light condition on demand, is it the ASR fault light or the ASD light that's illuminating, does the car go into Limp home mode?? more etc, etc...
