Removing the speaker is a pretty easy way to get out the instrument panel. If you have never removed the speakers before, read the "Stereo removal" article under the DIY tab above, as speaker removal and grill removal is not real obvious.

Also, do a search on instrument cluster removal - there are some tips and things to watch out for (speedo cable) that have been discussed over the last 2 years on the forum, as well as means of removing the instrument cluster without taking out the speakers by making your own hooks.
