I paid 9500. Granted I paid a premium, but the previous owner is a friend of mine, and he was the original owner. The car was a special order with a special peril black exterior paint with 105k miles. He recently put a lot of money into the car including a new AC evaporator, a pile of vacuum components, brake rotors and pads, injectors, head line, glow plugs, AC compressor all in the last year, and all repairs were performed by the dealer with a one year warranty. I found the costs in the maintenance recorders impressive.
My suggestion would be to get the car fixed, and ask for a premium price. These cars are worth it, but you have to be able prove why the car is worth a premium to new buyer, and a good maintenance record is an important part of that.
