E320CDI replaces the E300 Turbodiesel here this month (Ireland). Prices unchanged. Torque up by 43%. 1800 detail changes. Gorgeous. Expecting new body in max 36 months. Expecting 4.2 V8 CDI sometime in 2000. Have had my '97 E300 Turbodiesel up to an indicated 137mph, ran out of road before she ran out of steam. Never hit the 5000rpm redline. Can't wait to drive the CDI. Current C220CDI outperforms W124 300D (pre-mutivalve) in every respect.
