thanks for the info. being a vw tdi'er for sometime now this car seems like a new can of worms. before i bought the car i took it to mercedes for a inspection. the fault code read like this

code-b1315...fault in comm. with component b48(front passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition) or there is a cacle fault.

mercedes wanted to charge 149.00 for the part with a total bill of 464.00. i called mercedes today and asked them how much the ACSR is and they said 149.00. i hope this is the part.

i just looked at the invoice again and one page says the intercooler is seeping and another page says leaking. who knows. i gotta get under this thing and start wrenching.

is there one side of the diff seals that is easier to replace?
