My '85 CD has the problem where I have to hit AC or defrost before I can hit EC to get regular fan. I know this has happened to others. What's the fix? I've swapped several other ACC units and still the same problem.

On the '85 specifically there is a relay (according to Performance Products catalog) called the "Cut-Off Relay, A/C Comp." It says all turbos from '85.

Anybody know anything about this relay? I'm about to pull the one from '85 at the junkyard becaue PP wants $210 for the part.


I can't figure out what else it can be.
