It's black, about 1/4 oz of oil give or take..... I just noticed it for the first time. don't know how long is has been there.. Thanks.. Indy

Ok Called the Mercedes Garage they said diesel that sits for a long time in a spot on the engine will turn black and oily he also said it could be a lifter gasket, but since I was smelling diesel it may just be leaky hose.. After I replace the hose I guess time will tell.. Thanks for your help... Indy
