The easiest thing to do FIRST is to check and clean the fuses and particularly their contact points. There is a good chance that one of the related fuses, or its contact point in the fuse box is corroded, causing intermittent problems.

Its an even better idea to change these fuses. Mercedes fuses are notorious for corrosion, and hairline cracks.
