K2 is at the rear of the transmission, and the K2 drum (#95) rides on a shaft (#101) at the rear of the tranny. If you buy a book (from ATSG, etc.), it will tell you how to pressure-test the drum/K2 clutches (after you remove the valve body). You have to remove ALL the parts in the transmission to get to the K2 drum.

If they took it out to rebuild, they probably screwed it up putting it back together; if they didn't remove it, then it has a problem which likely should have been taken care of as a result of the rebuild. Either way, however, they should be responsible for the problem.

That pan sludge is terrible for just having been rebuilt; that pic will go a long way in court, considering it was rebuilt. Might just tell them about one more chance you're gonna give them to get it right.
