VHT makes a 1500* paint. I have never been able to get the DIY paint/coatings to last. Powder coating definitely won't last, its only good for @450* If you really wanted to get fancy take the parts off and send them to www.jet-hot.com or www.airborncoatings.com These finishes are very durable and warranteed.
