removing the finish

my buddy in calif who owns classic wood designs [makes wood dashes and wood interior stuff] refinished my console panel of the 88 and your chipping method is how he said he did on mine. he then stained and finished to match my older finish. looks good.

now that i see you can do this i might just give the 87 a try myself. i'll ask him what kind of finish he used. i'm sure i remember that is was something simple.
