Unhappy 1984 300TD for parts..... (sigh)

Hello,

My mom's 84 300TD was just recently destroyed by a young driver with no license. Mom was driving around a corner, and suddenly a Honda Civic was coming sideways straight into her. The results can be seen below.....
Luckily, neither she or the other driver were injured other than bruises. The tank-like 123 did its job well!

This was a super-nice car she bought in 1998 and I refurbished for her. It had 150,000 when purchased and ran like a top. It now has 221,000 on it now and runs like new still (just doesn't drive quite the same!!).

I am parting it out and would like to hear some requests. The engine and transmission are spoken for although I would entertain an offer ($900?) for the whole car, drivetrain included. Otherwise, I will dismantle it next weekend and sell it piece by piece.

The upholstery is outstanding as are various other interior parts and 3 of the door panels (guess which one is not so hot!). The tailgate is perfect as are the doors on the passenger side. This car was sold new in SC and has not left the Carolinas since. Had a complete new A/C system as well as tons of other newer parts including the rear hydraulic shocks and nitrogen spheres.

Thanks for looking and please e-mail at mkallas@nc.rr.com .
