Only tire I have ever owned that developed a 'lump' was a michelin.

I recommend Bridgestone Turanza. Cheaper, and is a better tire in my MB (4 cars, 200K miles) experience.

It is what I have on my SE, after 6 years of Michelin. Much better in every way, including price.
