As mentioned above, dont expect it to come out right away... soak the stains for a while in a good cleaner, brush at them, and just let them soak.

I have had great success in pressure washing my carpets...

First off I vacuum the carpeting REALLY well, then take your floormats to a coin-op car wash, and mount your floormats in the little clips that are usually on the walls, and pressure wash away! Dont spray too close tot he carpet though, as you might damage the looping. In your case, id vacuuum throughly, soak the stains, then pressure wash. Use a brush while your washing them to loosen imbedded dirt.
