I am not sure that the instrument cluster would have an effect on that.Are the pushbuttons working correctly on your dash? My instrument cluster was replaced as were the AC unit control button unit because they worked erratically.Sometimes I would have to push the buttons 3-4 times to get the unit to turn on or off.
