I'm not experienced in replacing the injector seals but I have read that it is a bad thing to introduce any silicone into the engine. The silicone poisons the O2 sensor. This is why RTV sealants will state if they are O2 sensor safe and contain no silicones.

Also is the seal rubber the kind of rubber which is harmed by grease?
