People on the forum using rebuilts (from Auto Zone et al) have had mixed success. There are several instances of the axles being bad at installation or failing within the 1st year. Of course, you could have the same results with an axle from a boneyard and have no recourse.

One test to perform with whatever axles you decide (especially rebuilds - some rebuilders are nothing more than 'spray and pray' outfits) to use would be to grab each end and try and twist the axle torsionally back and forth. If you feel ANY play or looseness, the joints are shot.
