I wonder if any one can help. I am trying to remove the roof gutter chrome trim from my 83 280e. It has unscrewed ok at the front and I have gently lifted it all the ay off apart from the rear section. There is a grey plastic looking moulding behing the roof pillar and the chrome moulding. The manuals say it gets damaged removing it and has to be replaced, I doubt if one even exists any longer.
Has anyone ever removed this item and if they did how did they work the last rear section off the gutter.
