The owners manaul might not mention what is best

Does the owner’s manual tell you to take it easy in your diesel until it reaches operating temperature, not to shut it off before it reaches operating temperature, or not to rev it in neutral? Running the piss out a motor cold will cause a tremendous amount of damage, shutting off a cold motor will too, and revving high in neutral greatly increases the likelihood of spinning a bearing. Furthermore not even close to as much is known as what is today.
