Quick Question to all of you about engine fit..
I have the opportunity to buy a 1983 300TD station wagon with a perfect body, but the engine has 300K+ miles on it. Oddly enough, I have a perfectly good 300D engine sitting in my 1976, and the body on the 76 could use some fixing. So I am thinking, transpant the engine from the 1976 into the 1983. I know its a non turbo and all that, and I am not concerned. Will the trannys and all that stuff bolt right on, or is a lot of mods needed?
