Fast Robert,

While you are at it, could you describe the replacing of the carrier bearing? Unfortunately, my has been replaced 3 times. One of the reasons it fails is a bad U-Joint which then puts undue pressure on the bearing. In the early years, MB only sold the carrier bearing with a whole rear driveshaft. Now you can buy the bearing alone, but check the U-Joint. Mine failed after 30K miles.
