I don't know about your car but 1 word for you. Afterglow. Every time I start my diesel up, it has a glow cycle and an afterglow. What does that do? Well it wears down the GP faster. So, if I am making a stop of a few minutes, I let it idle with the door locked since I can seperate the metal part from the electronic part. Also, this has to be in some place I feel safe and I can watch the car
