Hi, I came upon a few euro spec parts recently, and one of the items was a 5 speed manual transmission for the OM617, pulled from a euro spec 300D with something like 140k on it.

The tranny is in good shape, and includes the whole shebang, pedals, shifter, clutch mechanisms, bellhousing and all. I don't see why it wouldn't bolt right onto an existing 617.

450$, as is, plus shipping.
