While cleaning the belly pan under the engine in my 300D today I noticed that the seal between the engine and the tranny has a very small leak. Much to my surprise, everything else on the engine is completely clean. I searched this site for various information regarding the seal, but all I could find were instructions on how to replace it, which I believe is beyond my current capabilities.

I would like to know how urgent this repair is. It is quite costly to have done, and oil is much cheaper than seal repairs. Will I cause any further damage to my car by not fixing this anytime soon?

I would prefer to postpone the repair, but I will do it now if neccesary.

Thanks in advance for your input.
