As a wild guess, I'd take a close look at your wiring to see if anything has been eaten or corroded to the point where something is shorting or touching. One hungry squirrel can do strange things. This year car had fairly simple, point to point wiring, without any computer chips, so it shouldn't be too bad to do. You could probably completely rewire the car in a day or so. Good luck!
