I have a 944 Turbo (951). It sure handles well!
I got it cheap considering it's got no rust and the leather seats are perfect. However.....
It has had...the following done since I owned it:
a rebuilt K26/6 turbocharger and the various hoses, seals and stuff that were soaked in oil because the turbo blew up....
new accessory belts, tensioners, various seals for the engine, etc.
new oxygen sensor
new rotors, expansion tank ($140 part), CV joints rebuilt, transmission oil cooler line resealed
But... it sure is a much more exciting drive than the E420!!
The turbo's power delivery is awesome! It handles great and does have that old sports car smell someone mentioned..
I do hate the original 16" Fuchs wheels on the car, and it's quite a bear to drive in stop-n-go traffic in Boston. I guess that's where the 400E comes in.
