A lot of SDL's I see for sale have between 180k-250k on them, 206k sounds about right. If it has a maintaince history you should be able to track the mileage and get a pretty good idea of how close 206k on the odo is.
Maybe he just wants to get the stinky old diesel out of the garage so the E55 will have room.
