Eastern Pennsylvania prices of gas have jumped about 15 cents a gallon, while diesel changed from not at all to at most eight cents a gallon.
The cheapest name brand fuel, Hess 87, is $1.569, 91 is $1.649, and 93 SUL is $1.719. The same station was at 1.399 for unleaded not long ago, with premium around $1.569...
Diesel ranges from $1.40 in New Jersey just across the river to $1.499 at a truck stop not too far away, with local prices around $1.55 or so. Even the expensive Gulf premium diesel is holding at $1.739 for a month or more, while the same station's gas prices are now $1.699, $1.799, and $1.899 for 87, 89 and 93 respectively. Texaco Premium diesel at the truck stop is $1.599.
